1. Story 

Since 2013, IBI Global has launched a platform to empower talents to learn through technology. IBI has innovated a world-renowned blended e-Learning solution to foster talents with Business English language skills and the right type of innovation skills for their career development.

As experienced educators, we understand that if young people worldwide were equipped with excellent language and soft skills or innovation skills, this world would change drastically. Language promotes understanding, while innovation drives evolution.

Building on our parent company’s world-class methods, our team has continued to innovate by creating a subsidiary, IBI School, to deliver an English online training program that transforms the way children and teenagers learn English. This program combines IBI self-paced learning, IBI live classroom training, and an integrated outdoor learning program.

The program is a great merger of innovative pedagogy and advanced technology, helping children and teenagers develop their English skills across all areas without attending traditional classroom training. It’s called IBI Flipped Learning.

 

2. The IBI Flipped Classroom: The Learning Process

 

At your own pace.

Students start with interactive lessons through IBI self-paced learning – eClasses – before beginning IBI Live classroom training – eConversations. In eConversations, they collaborate with real teachers and peers for discussions, learning activities (educational games, quizzes, board games, jeopardy, etc.), and team competitions.
This process helps students improve their reading, listening, writing, and pronunciation skills. They can write down questions related to their eClasses lessons and get 24/7 feedback from teachers in their own space or be prepared to ask these questions during eConversations.

eClasses are designed based on an innovative combination of workbook and repetition methods, making learning both educational and fun for students.

IBI authoring tool – eTeractive makes it easier to transfer knowledge to students through real-world eLearning activities, actively engaging learners with the lessons. This approach helps students acquire lessons quickly and enjoyably.


In Class (live virtual classroom)

Inquiry-Based Learning: Teachers, facilitated by IBI live classroom – eConversations, are typically the central focus of lessons. They respond to students’ questions directly, providing guidance and feedback. This process allows teachers to differentiate instruction and personalize learning while students work on problems.

    • Convenience: IBI’s LMS is built with a high level of automation and personalization, allowing students to enroll, choose schedules, register, and take classes independently.
    • Customization: eConversations can be customized based on your organization’s real-world challenges, helping develop productive new networks among employees.
    • Class Size: Small class sizes, with a maximum of 10 students per class, are ideal for live online learning. This setup enables stronger relationships among students and between teachers and students, promoting peer learning.

The IBI Outdoor Learning Program (I-Innovation) provides students with a valuable opportunity to engage in various aspects of learning through innovation projects. This program enables students to appreciate the diversity of people and environments they encounter. It is also crucial for educators to nurture students’ joy in exploring the world beyond the classroom.

Students are encouraged to become confident and engaged learners by developing key dispositions such as curiosity, cooperation, confidence, creativity, commitment, enthusiasm, persistence, imagination, and reflexivity.

Skill-Based Learning: Through this approach, students in the IBI Flipped Learning Program not only enhance their English skills across all areas but also cultivate innovation skills, including communication, problem-solving, design thinking, and creativity.
